Welcome

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.   And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.  If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”  James 1:3-5

In James, God promises to give us wisdom, if we ask for it.  He has given us His word which thoroughly equips us for every good work.  He has given us His Holy Spirit to dwell within us and teach us and discipline us.  He gives our lives meaning and hope for the future.  It is my hope and prayer that Christian Homeschools of Stillwater will help you to endure the trials ahead and that you will find true support and fellowship here.  Hopefully, we can help each other focus on the things that are praiseworthy and come alongside with encouragement and real help in times of need.  We are a non-denominational Christian support group whose mission is to provide encouragement, prayer, fellowship, information, advice, and various opportunities to families desiring to educate their children at home.

Our monthly “adults only” meetings are a rich time of encouragement and meet the 4th Tuesday of each month (except December, June & July) at River Valley Christian Church, 5900 Lake Elmo Ave. N., Lake Elmo, MN

6:30-7:00 Sign up for field trips/events, check things out of the Resource Library, pick up this month’s announcement sheet.

7:00-8:45 Encouragement in the form of prayer and small group sharing or hearing special speakers, meeting new friends and seeing old friends, having refreshments and planning joint activities.

You will have opportunities to make friends for your children and yourself, but you will need to participate in activities and small groups for this to occur.  The Ministry of Helps is an excellent way to get involved with our group and get to know people better.  It may be as simple as bringing treats one week or helping sort test results, or it may be as complex as organizing a field trip or hosting a family fun event.

May God bless your school year with peace that surpasses all understanding and may your mind be set on those things that are worthy of praise.

Your servant,
Cheryll White
